Download Images He mastered very well language and culture of Java, because he has been working in Java from 1965. This knowledge helped him so much in his ministry. He was an open person towards new things. This openness helped him to develop the talents he had, namely capacity to heal people. Also he was self-taught person. That is why he then developed this capacity by his own. In July 2000 he founded Center of Healing where there are rooms for consultation, practice of healing, medicines, chapel and small mosque. In the last 38 years he helped people who were getting sick with alternative healing called radiesthesic healing. His purpose was to be in solidarity with those who were suffering because of illness. The people were healed by his services. Before he started this ministry, he faced difficulty. Some confreres had objection if he had done this kind of ministry. He tried to convince them to accept it. He believed that this ministry was aimed to serve people and to love Christ. As MSC he wanted to be in solidarity with others. He felt happy if happiness he felt also was felt by others. Otherwise he felt sad if the others were suffering. That is why in his ministry of healing he wished other people grown as they were. He was community person. He loved his community. He wished togetherness. He was involved in the community meeting. His capacity of healing did not make him separated from confreres. He even supported confreres assisting them in their need. He hosted kindly confreres who come to stay in the house where he was living. He showed hospitality and kindness to other people too. He was really MSC priest who lived the Spirituality of the Heart. For us, a life in union with the Heart of Christ is not just a devotion - it is the very core of our spirituality. the heart of Christ is the source of living water, that is, of the Spirit.
Jules Chevalier (1824-1907) was a man of his time. He was convinced that the Jesus he found in the Gospels was a person of deep compassion and understanding.
Through her union with Jesus, Mary knows the unsearchable riches of his Heart and wants to lead us to him, who is the source of a limitless love that gives birth to a new world.
Fr. Jules wanted to found a missionary Society that would have as its purpose to bring God’s compassionate and merciful love to human beings as the remedy for the evils that afflicted society.
